Tattered Angels Techniques!

Hello and Happy Weekend!

Here are a few great ways to use Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists that I learned from their creator, Wendy Senger!

Did you know that Tattered Angels products aren't just for creating backgrounds? Here are some other uses:

You can heat the Glimmer Screens and bend them slightly to use as embellishments!

You can also use Glimmer Mists and Screens to create double images or positive/ negative spaces...

...and stamp with them too if you use Distress Inks! (Simon would be happy about that!)
Spray a craft sheet with glimmer mists, drag your screen through, then stamp!

Make your own tie-dye background by spraying different colors in different spots!

Saturate the top of the page with one color, the middle with another color, and the bottom with a third, then drag a paper towel through lightly to create a watercolor background!

Have papers with white spaces? Color the white spaces with Tattered Angels Mists!

Do you have black paper? Use a Glimmer Screen and any color Glimmer Mist and spray for this cool effect:

New Limited Edition Mists are coming soon - possibly next week! New Chalkboard Mists, Glam, and Glaze in stock now! Make sure to commit to the spray (fully depressing the sprayer in one move) after shaking the bottle to avoid spotty dots if you don't like them. Or you can dab with a paper towel.

On a side note, for those of you who have been participating in Week in the Life with Ali Edwards congrats on finishing up your week! I’m sure all of your work became overwhelming sometimes, but as you look back on it, it will be an AWESOME reminder of how your life was now and how much it has changed! Ali started her Week in the Life project with the idea in mind, “From the mundane to the profound, it’s those simple little everyday moments that I treasure most..” and she wanted to capture them. To check out her inspiring progress, here’s the link to her project blog, HERE. Something fun we’ve been doing here at Simon Says Stamp is following other Week in the Life Projects on Twitter. In the search bar on the Twitter homepage, you just type in #weekinthelife and see other creative individuals who are posting their pictures daily or giving fun tips. (While you’re checking that out- be sure to follow us SimonSaysStamp!)

Have a nice week!
-Sarah

The Moose of Oz!

Hello blogging world!

The Wizard of Oz has taken over our resident moose here & it couldn't be a more adorable combination! Riley and Sophie from Riley & Co Stamps just look so cute in all these different scenes! Check out these inspiration projects from Stamp Owl Studio's Blog and On the Bright Side!

Riley as the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion makes a perfect trio to join to see the Wizard!

Sophie as the Wicked Witch?? Hard to believe! This stamp is the cutest form of mean I've seen!

This is more like it! Sophie looks so pretty as the Good Witch!

Sophie pulls off Dorothy well too- don't you think so?!

Here's a close up card of Riley the Lion again.. I just want to hug him!

And there they go, off to the Yellow Brick Road! This stamp is so great because it combines the four characters and the road itself!

Check out the Graphic 45 Magic of Oz 8x8 paper pack too for extra Oz inspiration!

Tap your heels together three times and get these stamps to your home as fast as possible!
Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
